Improving your confidence

Being confident is such a big thing in this day and age. We need to be confident every day in everything we do so it can be quite challenging when confidence is something you don't have. Through growing up being confident and out-going was something I always struggled with, being shy seemed to take over and this made growing up even more difficult than it already was. People don't realise how common being shy is and you aren't alone in feeling like that. It's always the worst when your friends are extremely confident and you are the odd one out for not being as loud and as bubbly as them, but it isn't the end of the world. Confidence isn't given to you on a plate, it all comes with experience and pushing yourself to get out there and do new things. The main thing is to keep on trying and remember you don't have to be like anybody else, as long as you are yourself.

Steps to confidence

1. Believe in yourself, when you put yourself to it you can do anything you want too. If you push yourself, you can do it. This will improve your confidence in no time.
2. Never worry about what other people think. It's rare that people are even going to think about you but over-thinking can make it seem like that. Just make sure that you are doing the right thing and never play attention to any negative comments, as long as it makes you happy that is all that matters.
3. Love yourself the way you are. Everybody has their different styles, different image etc but that does not mean anybody is better than another individual. Everybody is beautiful in their own little way and so are you, so love yourself.. look in the mirror and tell yourself that every single day.
4. Think positively and confidently. Think about what you are good at and remember them. Always look on the bright side of things and remember compliments that people give you.
5. Use eye contact and strong body language. Eye contact is important while having a conversation with somebody and it will make you appear a lot more confident. Don't cross your arms or legs. Be open and make sure you look approachable!
6. Smile. Would you really want to talk to somebody that looks moody? Smiling can change a lot of things and it can make us better about ourselves.
7. Surround yourself with positive and happy people, happiness can make you feel a lot more confident. It's important to have happy people around you that are going to make you feel comfortable around them. Get rid of people that bring you negativity in your life.

Confidence can be a tricky thing, it comes with experience and improving the way you think. Never give up. It gets easier.

  1. Great post on confidence I know sometimes I don't have it, but other times I do it's weird, but I'm more confident when I wear makeup, because it brings out my features so well and when I'm feeling down I just give myself a makeover and I feel so much better. I read you are new in no time you'll get the hang of it and let your creative juices flow:)Thanks for posting visit my blog sometimes.
