My skin care routine

Having a good skin-care routine has made such a big difference to my skin, a few years ago I would just use make up wipes and a basic face wash and my skin used to be so so bad. But since having a content routine that I do morning and night, my skin has cleared up so much. Getting completely rid of make up wipes and choosing to cleanse your skin can clear your skin up so much if you suffer with acne! There are a lot of more expensive cleansers and moisturisers that are available, but brands like garnier, simple and lush products all work really well for me so it is perfect.

My skin care routine

1. If I have make up on, I will firstly cleanse with my Garnier softening cleansing lotion using a cotton pad. I really like this lotion as it leaves my skin feeling really very fresh and clean. I have to do this a couple of times to make sure that all of my make up is off but I feel as though it removes all of my make up thoroughly which I really love. This lotion is available from Boots and Super drug. It is only £3.49 from boots and this store always has special Garnier deals so you can easily save a lot of money! (ah I do love a good bargain!)

2. I will then use the "simple eye kind to eyes make up remover" also using a cotton pad, just to make sure that I have all of my mascara and eye-liner completely removed at the end of the day, as this can be really annoying if it is not all removed! I think that this is brilliant and it also contains vitamins for our eyes which is an added extra. I only need to do this once and I feel that all of my eye make up has been fully removed! This is also available from Boots and Super drug. It is also only £3.49 from Boots which is really affordable!

3. After making sure that all of my make up is off, I will then wash my face with the "herbalism" face wash from Lush. I think this face wash is great as it leaves my face feeling clean and it also lasts a really long time. Lush is my ultimate favourite place for skin-care products, it can be a bit pricey for what you get, but it really does make a difference so it is worth it.

4. I will then use the Garnier "Softening toner" which tones and softens my skin, also if any make up is still left on my face this will clear it all up! I feel as though this leaves my skin feeling really soft and it makes a difference to how my skin looks. This is also really affordable and available from Boots and Super drug!

5. To finish, I use the "simple hydrating moisturiser." This is a basic and affordable moisturiser that does the job! Since using this, my skin has calmed down so much with blemishes and also goes well underneath make up. Some times, I won't use any moisturiser as I think it is important to let my skin breath for a while so I occasionally will apply this a few hours after the previous steps. I also like to use a bit more when I have been using a lot of make up over the day.

September Lush Haul

I have officially decided that it is essential to buy a few products from Lush whenever I go shopping in Birmingham. I think this shop is perfect for so many things from face moisturisers to bath bombs! I decided to try some new things from lush to see what they are like. I have never looked into their brand of "toothy tabs" before and I have always wanted to see if they were good so I decided to buy a couple of boxes of them. I also had to try some new body soap and some tea tree toner tabs that I think are the most amazing things ever for cleansing the skin!

I have always been interested in purchasing different products for my teeth so I thought I would try these. They are price ranged between £2 and £3 which I thought was pretty good as there is quite a few in the box. There are also a lot of different flavours to pick from, some more stronger than others. I went with the "chou chou I love you" flavour and the "dirty" one. I think these are really good and leave your teeth feeling really clean and leave your breath smelling really fresh. I think that these are defiantly worth the money.

When I first saw this body soap I thought it was so cute and it smelt really good! This is called the "tender is the night" massage bar and you use this in the shower. I think it is brilliant and leaves your skin really smooth! It is a cheap price of £6.50 which is really good as it lasts quite a long time. I also really like the pink flower on the top and I think this makes it stand out from all the other soaps and makes it by far my favourite.

I also decided to try some Tea tree toner tabs. These are really useful for when you need to refresh your skin a little or you are having a few break outs. I really find these useful and they leave your face feeling really smooth and fresh after using these. These are only £1 which I think is a really good price and they only need to be used once every week.

What products have you purchased from Lush this month? <3

Monthly favourites

My favourites of this month

As a lot might agree with me, Lush is a really good shop and has a lot of great products! Recently I went into a local lush store and decided to buy a few products for my face as I wanted to try some new face washes and moisturisers. I decided to buy the 'herbalism' face wash that I've absolutely fell in love with! All you need to do is put a small amount in your hand and use water and rub it together and it creates a paste that you rub onto your face.. it only takes a few minutes and it feels your face feeling extremely fresh and smooth! It is also for people that have dry skin or have acne. I'd really recommend it! Another product I decided to buy was the 'tea tree water spray' this is something that you can spray on your face whenever you wish and it just freshens your skin up and it is also for when you have a few spots and need to get rid of them immediately. It's a must buy! I've always thought that the products in lush were a bit pricey and it does put a lot of people off but I certainly think that they are worth the money and they do make a difference!

I also took a visit to the body shop recently. This is another place I love and it has some amazing products in there. The body creams are just amazing and it's quite hard to pick a favourite. They are quite expensive but they do last a long time and the smells are UNBELIEVABLE. I decided to get the strawberry body polish. This was £10.99 so I was unsure as to whether I was prepared to pay this for a body polish but it is so worth it! It smells so nice and fresh and is definitely worth the money and has been a big favourite of mine this month. I also decided to get the strawberry body cream just because I am such a fan of the smell! Body shop is such a perfect shop and I'd advise people to check it out, it's definitely worth the money!

This month I have been in love with the Vo5 products for my hair. I think this brand is so affordable but does the job! I decided to buy the head defence spray/frizz free cream which is so good as my hair always has a crazy moment when I come out of the shower and this product keeps the frizz down so it is perfect. Another product I have brought is the styling spray! I usually just spray this in before I curl my hair as it protects it and also helps to style it and I think it does a great job! I'd advise anybody to use these products as they are so good and an affordable brand.

A mascara I have been obsessed with this month is the Rimmel accelerator endless mascara! This is just amazing and makes your eyelashes look a lot more longer and a lot of people have asked me if I have fake eyelashes on while wearing this mascara as they look really long which is one thing I love about this. I have not really been keen on the Rimmel collection of mascara's but I think this one is perfect if you really want your lashes to stand out and have a lot of volume.

This is me with the mascara on

My favourite song at the minute has got to me 'ready for your love' by gorgon city. What a brilliant song! I literally listen to this song around 200 times a day and I still am not bored of it. I'm also obsessed with disclosure at the minute as I went to a concert to see them this week and they were absolutely amazing so I have their album on repeat at the minute :-)
