My Favourite High Street Beauty Products

I am always searching for a bargain, so finding make up with a nice price tag is always a good moment! Over the last few years, I've tried many of different products from high street stores, so I thought I would put together a blog-post explaining what my favourite beauty products are and why!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer

My all time favourite is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I find this perfect because it suits my skin tone so much and I can wear it all day without it feeling like it has faded! It did take me a long time to find out the right colour for me, as there is so many to choose from, which can be quite annoying but now I have fallen in love with this foundation even more now I know my right shade. It's around £8/9 in most high street stores such as boots and Superdrug and it can last a really long time so I think that is it worth the money and a bargain in my eyes!

Another Rimmel Wake Me Up product, is the concealer which I have fallen in love with! Nobody wants to pay a large amount of money just for a concealer, so I think this is brilliant as it's cheap and it does the job! I use this mainly under my eyes and it hides dark circles really well, I used to go for the Soap & Glory Concealer, but I find that this one is a lot better.

Max Powder Pressed Creme Puff Powder

Pressed Powder has always been a hard one for me to find, I've tried so many but I've never really been impressed with many! But then I came across the Max Factor Creme Puff Powder and I immediately loved it, it makes my foundation stay on a lot longer and also gives me a slight tan which I like as I am so pale! It's under £5 so it's also a bargain and available in most high street stores!

Simple Moisturiser

Choosing a good moisturiser is a must for me, as I have sensitive skin I needed to find a really good moisturiser which leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. I have previously tried so many different ones, including high-end products and also ones from lush. Since using products from Simple, my skin has improved so much and I now rarely get spots, which is such a big relief! See my old post about my skin care routine for more details on how I cleared my acne just by using a simple skin care routine, using simple, Garnier and Lush products! They are also quite cheap and a lot cheaper compared to high end products, which makes it a lot more affordable to keep your skin clear and healthy. I also think that this moisturiser is perfect for applying before you put make up on, it is such a light moisturiser and I feel that it makes my make up stay on longer and doesn't irritate my skin! All round, a really good product, well done simple!

Rimmel Eye-Shadow Palette

When I am in a rush and want to achieve a dark smoky eye-shadow look, I like to use the Rimmel Smoky Eye shadow palette, this is an affordable palette and is really effective! The dark blue really works well for a dark, dramatic look which is one of my favourite looks! I like to use this palette when I go on a night out and I want my eyes to stand out! This is under £5 so it is quite a bargain as you are getting three strong colours!

Beauty UK Blusher

I am sure a lot would agree, a bit of blusher sets a make up look off and is not complete with out it! This blusher is one of my favourites and really makes my cheeks stand out. It also lasts a really long time and is perfect for the price! I actually bought this a year ago and I still have some left, unbelievable!

These are my all time favourite products that have a really nice price-tag too! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Please leave a comment if you also use this products, or let me know what your favourites are!

My hair care routine and tips

My hair is getting to that stage where it is really long and it requires a lot of attention (meh!) so I find it essential to have some useful products to help control my hair and keep it looking and feeling clean. Firstly, I find it a lot easier not to wash my hair every day, I usually leave it 2-3 days (unless I have something important planned)! It is a common fact that it is unhealthy to wash your hair every day as you are washing out all those natural oils, so if you can, wait a few days!

My favourite shampoo and conditioner is the Lee Stafford brand, this always leaves my hair feeling extremely smooth and soft! I seem to use these when I have a special occasion or when I feel that my hair needs a good pick-me-up wash as this brand can be quite expensive, so I want to to last as long as possible before I buy more! The lee Stafford setting lotion is also really handy, I feel that it gives a lot more volume to my hair which I love and you only need to spray a small amount in your hair after washing it so it is sure going to last a long time!

Another favourite brand of mine is palmolive. I love this brand as it is cheap and simple! I use this most of the time as I love how it makes my hair feel really soft, there are also different ones to pick from, but I love the "brilliant colour" one as it really brings out the blonde in my hair! This is perfect if you just want a basic and cheap shampoo that does it's job!

I am a massive fan of Soap & Glory, that is why I had to try their hair care products! My favourite hair care product of theirs has to be their shampoo. This leaves my hair with lots of volume and it makes it feel SO soft. It is a bit pricey, so I just use this on certain occasions, but it is definitely worth the buy!

Tips for your hair

  • As I have already mentioned, try not to wash your hair every day unless you have to! Your hair will be a lot healthier if you leave it 2-3 days.
  • When washing your hair - wash your hair two to three times with shampoo, your hair will feel fresh a lot longer and will look cleaner as the shampoo will remove more dirty and grease!
  • Make sure you spray heat products in your hair before drying, straightening or curling your hair, heat can really damage your hair over time! My favourite heat care product is the Tresemme protection spray, this is an affordable price but does it's job.
  • Once or twice a week, try and leave your conditioner in your hair for a while longer, this is perfect if you are having a bath. Leave it in for 10-20 minutes as this will condition your hair a lot better and it will do a lot of good to the quality of your hair.

Nails of the day: Pretty in pink

My favourite nail varnish this week has to be this beautiful bright pink shade from Binky London. This nail varnish brand is also created by Binky from Made In Chelsea (in case you didn't know!).

I think it is such a bright and exciting colour and perfect for a nice spring day. Anybody that knows me will also know that my favourite colour is pink! Binky has created a lot of different shades which are all amazing and are all available on her website, go and check them out!

Urban Decay Naked Palette Full Review

Being such a make up lover, I had to give in and purchase this beautiful palette! I am sure for a lot of people £37.99 is a bit pricey for eye shadow, which did put me off at first... but I always believe that you get what you pay for and Urban Decay never seem to fail with their quality products! This palette is perfect for darker colours that can be used in those winter months or to create a strong smoky effect! It has lovely shades of blue that blend really well together and some really nice browns that are nice for a day time look.. To the left of the palette there are some lighter colours too so you do get a good range of colours for your money!

I always use this palette on a day to day basis, especially on a night out! Check out my Get Ready With Me Party look using this palette I also think that it is perfect for a day time look if you are going some where special.

Is it better than High Street Brands?
I think that if you are just wanting a basic eye shadow then some thing from boots would be just as good as this palette. But if you are a serious make up lover (like me) and you love playing around with different colours and blending them together then you will certainly find this palette really useful! Check out a recent blog for more information on what I think about the difference between high street brands and high end products by here.

What are your opinions on this palette?
Let me know in the comments section !

My skin care routine

Having a good skin-care routine has made such a big difference to my skin, a few years ago I would just use make up wipes and a basic face wash and my skin used to be so so bad. But since having a content routine that I do morning and night, my skin has cleared up so much. Getting completely rid of make up wipes and choosing to cleanse your skin can clear your skin up so much if you suffer with acne! There are a lot of more expensive cleansers and moisturisers that are available, but brands like garnier, simple and lush products all work really well for me so it is perfect.

My skin care routine

1. If I have make up on, I will firstly cleanse with my Garnier softening cleansing lotion using a cotton pad. I really like this lotion as it leaves my skin feeling really very fresh and clean. I have to do this a couple of times to make sure that all of my make up is off but I feel as though it removes all of my make up thoroughly which I really love. This lotion is available from Boots and Super drug. It is only £3.49 from boots and this store always has special Garnier deals so you can easily save a lot of money! (ah I do love a good bargain!)

2. I will then use the "simple eye kind to eyes make up remover" also using a cotton pad, just to make sure that I have all of my mascara and eye-liner completely removed at the end of the day, as this can be really annoying if it is not all removed! I think that this is brilliant and it also contains vitamins for our eyes which is an added extra. I only need to do this once and I feel that all of my eye make up has been fully removed! This is also available from Boots and Super drug. It is also only £3.49 from Boots which is really affordable!

3. After making sure that all of my make up is off, I will then wash my face with the "herbalism" face wash from Lush. I think this face wash is great as it leaves my face feeling clean and it also lasts a really long time. Lush is my ultimate favourite place for skin-care products, it can be a bit pricey for what you get, but it really does make a difference so it is worth it.

4. I will then use the Garnier "Softening toner" which tones and softens my skin, also if any make up is still left on my face this will clear it all up! I feel as though this leaves my skin feeling really soft and it makes a difference to how my skin looks. This is also really affordable and available from Boots and Super drug!

5. To finish, I use the "simple hydrating moisturiser." This is a basic and affordable moisturiser that does the job! Since using this, my skin has calmed down so much with blemishes and also goes well underneath make up. Some times, I won't use any moisturiser as I think it is important to let my skin breath for a while so I occasionally will apply this a few hours after the previous steps. I also like to use a bit more when I have been using a lot of make up over the day.

What I’m going to wear to Cheltenham Races Ladies Day on 11th March

Spring is nearly here, which means it's time to dig out all of my colourful summer clothes and put away those winter jumpers for another year! This is my favourite time of year as the Summer time is so close which means we have lots of summer days out to look forward to!
On Friday afternoon, I received a phone call from a lovely girl called Amelia who works for EtailPR. She asked me if I would like to get involved with the #ColourMeMarch campaign which is for this years Cheltenham Races Ladies day which is taking place on 11th March, It's about adding lots of colour to our outfits and having fun with what we wear on this exciting day out! I was asked to think about what outfit I would wear if I was to go this event, this was such a hard decision as there are so many pretty dresses out there and so many glorious hats to go with them! I decided to go with this bright pink dress with a long silver necklace. If it is quite cold on the day, I have also added a cream coloured jacket!

My outfit:
Pink dress: River Island £20
Cream jacker: River Island £40
Necklace: Primark £2.00

With such a big day, it's also a good idea to think of nice make up and hairstyle ideas! I decided to go for loose curls in my hair with a bit of back combing. I used the 'busted' and 'half baked' shade from the Naked Palette 2 and blended them both together. I used the benefit real lash mascara and the Soap and glory black eye-liner! This is quite a natural look for the day but it can also be added with red lipstick to set off the look. I also used the soap and glory HD brow stick to fill in my eyebrows and the benefit bronzer to finish the look.

Quite a popular thing for a Racecourse day outfit is to have a nice hat! I have had a look around and I thought this would be perfect for the day, it's a bright pink (which is my favourite colour). This is from Debenhams and is a price of 50.00, if you would like to purchase this hat click here !

This is such a big competition and there are big prizes up for grabs! Come and join me in this campaign and submit a photo of yourself with what you would wear to this exciting day! If you would like to enter please click here ! Good luck.

Eylure Fake Eyelashes Review

I have never really been a big fan of false eyelashes, just the thought of having to apply them in a certain way just seemed a lot to me. But recently, I thought I would try some out to see what all the fuss was about! After a few months of using "eylure eyelashes." I must say that it can be quite frustrating at first especially if you have no patience (like me!) but once you get the hang of it, they can be really addictive! I love how they can make a dramatic difference to your eyelashes and make your make up stand out a lot more than just having the effect of mascara. The glue is good enough and they stick really easily so you don't need to buy any extra glue. These are also perfect for a night out, which I love! These are priced between £3/£5 depending on where you get them from. I think they are brilliant for the price!

Get Ready With Me (Party Make Up Routine)

Get Ready With Me

For a night out, I like to try and be creative and adventurous with my make up. I have recently started using flash eye lashes and I have really fallen in love with them. I really like this look as it is quite effective and also quite cheap on a budget!

After moisturising, I will start by using my Soap and Glory concealer, I put a bit under my eyes and over any blemishes I may have followed by basic foundation. I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in the shade 'nude'. I will then use some collection 2000 powder just to set it off. Then using the benefit bronzer I add a bit to my cheeks, I like to blend this in well and take a few minutes doing this.

I will then use my Urban Decay eye shadow palette, for this look I use the palette 1 as this has a lot of darker colours. After applying some primer to my eyelids, I  Use the 'gunmetal' colour,  and apply this to the base of my lids. Then using the 'creep' shade I like to blend this at the top of my lid, then spend a while blending these together. After this, I use the eye-lure fake eye lashes then follow this with my benefit 'they're real' mascara.

Using the Black eyebrow pencil from Rimmel, I will shape my eyebrows and fill them in to made them stand out. Lastly, I will use my eye liner from Rimmel to use on the bottom of my eyes.

I like to make my lips stand out on a night out. So I decided to use a benefit in the 'fiend' shade. Which is one of my favourites!

For my hair style, I like to add a simple plat to the side of my hair or tie it up to the side. I also think a few simple curls are quite cute and can really set off the look.

I hope you like this look, leave comments below telling me what you think. :)

Recent Photoshoots

My Modelling Career

I don't like to call myself a "model" or "professional, I am just doing something that I enjoy an extreme amount and have a lot of passion for. I do not see my self as an extremely big and success model, I just like to work with lots of different photographers and agencies. Recently, I've decided to spend a lot more time doing different photo shoots and travel a lot more so I thought that I would share some photo's on my blog of what I have done. I have done a lot of themed photo shoots which involved Make Up artists and fashion stylists doing a lot of magic on me! Hope you like them :)

My every day make up routine

My every day make up routine

1. Firstly, I moisturise with the Lush 'enzimion' facial moisturiser. I always find that moisturising really helps my skin and makes it easier to apply foundation, so this step is really important. I really like this moisturiser as it's light and makes my skin feel really clean and smooth before applying my foundation.
2. Then I will add my 'soap and glory under eye concealer' I really like this as it hides my dark circles under my eyes really well and also any blemishes. There are a lot better concealers out there but I like this as it is quite cheap and it does the job.
3. Then I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in the shade of "true nude" I love this foundation, I think it does the job and does not irritate my skin. It's also got a really good price tag which I love as I get through my foundation quite quickly! I use a blending blush to blend all of this together, spending time on my jaw line and under the eyes.
4. I like to keep my make up quite basic, so I then just add a bit of powder. I use the Stay Matte powder from Rimmel. This is perfect just to set the foundation to make it stay on longer and give it that finishing look.
5. It's then time for the bronzer/blusher. I sometimes will miss out this part depending on my plans for the day or the level of eye shadow I plan to use. But I always think that a bit of bronzer finishes the look! I use the benefit bronzer and I think it is amazing. Sometimes I will use blusher instead, for day time I will use quite a light blusher just to add a bit of colour to my face.
6. I then will add some Urban Decay eye-shadow primer onto my eyelids. I like this as it makes my eye-shadow last longer and it makes them stand out more.
7. Then using my two Urban Decay palettes that are my favourite, I will use the half baked colour and blend it with a light colour from the Urban Decay 3. I love these palettes as it is quite easy to blend different colours and there are so many to choose from. I am also really liking the pink colours in the Urban Decay 3 palette and I think these are great for day time looks.
7. Lastly, I will use the Benefit long lashes mascara. I usually spend a few minutes making my lashes look really long and effective. I absolutely love this mascara!
8. I will then add a bit of eye-liner. I use basic black eye-liner from No7. This is brilliant eye-liner and really makes my eyes stand out, I am also able to wear it for a long period of time without it fading!
9. I will finish with a bit of red lipstick. I really like red at the minute and I feel that it really suites this time of year. I use Benefit as I really like their selection of lipsticks and the design.
10. Finally, using the Rimmel Eyebrow brush I like to just brush them and add a little pencil to fill them in to make them look more bold. I like to keep quite a basic thin shape to keep them looking quite natural.

This is my basic every day make up routine, that I often do in a rush so I like to keep it quite simple. I hope you like it! <3

My favourite MAC Lipsticks

Recently, I have been loving MAC and the wide range of lipsticks they have. I love that they have a colour for every occasion and you are also able to try them on in store so you can have a good idea of which one is the best for you. I have decided that these two lipsticks  are my favourite colours as I am really into pink at the minute so these two stood out for me.

My first favourite lipstick has to be the cremesheen creme cup. This is a light pink lipstick so it is perfect for the day time and also a night out. I have always been into pink shades of lipstick so I thought this one was just right for me. It is night too full and over the top like some lipsticks so it won't make your make up look too much, it is just right for finishing off the perfect natural look. This is £15.50.

My next favourite is the pink mouveau. Which some how happens to also be a pink one! I am just really loving this one at the minute and has been my favourite for such a long time. It is a darker pink compared to the other one so it is more of a night time lipstick and I usually use this when I am going on a night out. This is also £15.50

I am really into trying different MAC lipsticks, what one is your favourite?

Blushers and Bronzers Haul

Recently, I have been really into trying different blushers and bronzers and experimenting with different brands. Now that the winter is coming, I think it's perfect to have a good blusher and bronzer that leaves colour and tan on your face and just gives that finishing look.

I decided to try the benefits "cheeky sweet spot" blush box. I think this is really good for the price which was £29.50 as you get all of these different bronzers and blushers all in one and it also comes with a little leaflet with tips on different looks which I think is really handy. My favourite bronzer ever is the "hoola" colour which is featured in this, which can also be brought on it's own but I thought that this box was perfect as it comes with so many different colours so you always have the right blusher for any occasion. I think that all of these are really good and work well when mixed together to create different looks. I also like that this comes in a really cute box which makes it look a lot more appealing. Benefits can some times be quite expensive but I think it is well worth the money, it's also the perfect gift for Christmas or if you just want to treat yourself!

Another two blushers that I really like are the collection blusher and the beauty uk blush and brush. These are a lot more affordable but do the job really well. These are perfect for a day time look to just add a bit of colour to your face. These have been my favourites for such a long time and I also like that they last ages too so you don't have to keep re-purchasing them! They are also a lot smaller so these can be fitted in your handbag or make up bag in case you like to re-apply your blusher during the day, so it's a lot more suitable if you like to travel. These are both priced under £5 too so I'd say they are real bargains!

What blushers are your favourite?
