Growing up struggles

I haven't written a non beauty post for a while, but recently I've come to a stage in life where I've had to make some tough decisions and it's made me realise that growing up and becoming an adult can be quite tough.

2014 has taught me a lot of things. It has made me realise that I should have tried harder in school, if only I could have gone back a few years and tried a little harder in my GCSE's. But, how are you meant to realise how important a qualification could be when you are only 18 and still have a lot to learn in life? It has also made me realise that relationships don't last forever, friendships don't always last forever and things can change and some times they can change in a way which you don't like, and you just have to accept that.

Through out my life, I've never really known what I wanted to do career wise. I've been through many of college courses and I've never really felt that they were for me. But this year I have realised that I have a passion for helping people and those with mental health problems so I decided to apply to university. As I have never really researched higher education before, I didn't really know how to go about it and applying individually didn't make it much easier. As I chose not to do my A levels or a level 3 BTEC, I have found that I probably won't be able to study any time soon. Which is really annoying, as I'm sure it's quite common not to know what you want to do as a career while you are still growing up yourself. How can one qualification I decided not to study a few years ago suspend me from doing what I love now? But I guess that sometimes, it's important to remember that you have to work yourself from the bottom to achieve the best. So if I am not able to go to university in September 2015, I won't give up. I shall keep on trying until I finally graduate in counselling so I can help other people. It's just annoying that some times things don't work out the way you want them too, while you watch others easily find success.

2014 has taught me that relationships and friendships are some times going to end, and that is for the best. I have learn't this year that I can be independent, and I don't need many of friends to be happy in my self. I can be perfectly happy with my family members around me and a few special friends that I can truly rely on. Things always work out how they are meant to be.

Everything that happens is a lesson in a life, and 2014 has been a big lesson for me!

Happy New Year

  • Provide them with 11 questions of your choice
  • Cannot nominate the person who nominated you
  • Must inform nominees of the nomination

Here are my questions:

What is your favourite T.V show?
- I have so many favourite TV shows that it would be almost impossible to pick my ultimate favourite one. But if I had to I would pick Revenge, this is an american TV show and has recently been getting more and more popular. It is a show that has many of twists and always has a lot of action and it is very addicting.
I also really love Geordie shore and Made in Chelsea. I am a big fan of all of these reality TV shows and now I just can't stop watching them!

What is a staple clothing piece in your wardrobe?
- Unfortunately, I don't own any staple clothing at the minute. But because of this post, I have googled this style and now I am really tempted to purchase something.

What is your favourite perfume?
3. I really like chanels perfume. Any perfume by chanel is definitely my favourite. If only they were less expensive! One day I will win the lottery and buy myself 100's of bottles of chanel perfume, ha! I can dream, right?
Where is one place in the world that you've always wanted to visit?
There are so many places I would love to visit. There are so many countries that really interest me and I would just love to explore them. I always dream of being able to visit New York (America) as this place just looks amazing. I'd also really like to visit Australia if I ever had the opportunity.

What is your favourite app on your phone?
My one ultimate favourite app is "whatsapp." I hardly ever text any more, I ALWAYS use whatsapp. I am just so obsessed with the different emotions and they just make conversations that little bit more fun. I also like the "last seen" feature so you can catch people out when they ignore your message! Ha

What is your favourite animal?
As my followers would know - I love DOGS. I just love them so much! They are like a best friend to us humans and it disheartens me when people abuse them. If it was possible, I would make sure that every dog is treated fairly in this world and looked after properly!

How many pets do you have?
I have one dog. He is called George and he is 2 years old. He is a little darling!

What is your favourite movie?
The notebook. This film is just amazing even though it does make me teary. I just love a romantic film!

What is the best concert you have been to?
I've been to some amazing concerts over the years. One amazing concert I went to was a McFly concert a couple of years ago, I've always been a massive fan of McFly and I think that they are so talented. They always make sure everybody has an excellent time and it was a fabulous night!

Who is your favourite actor/actress?
Ryan Gosling is my favourite actor (Maybe because he is a fitty, drool!) and I also love Rachel McAdams, she is my favourite actress and I love every film that she is in.

My trip to Paradise

At the start of this year I realised that I really needed to get away for a while. I always love the thought of getting out of my home-town for a while so I decided to start searching for a holiday. Cyprus has always appealed to me and seemed like such a nice place to go so I searched the internet for a good deal and luckily I found one, my next step was to beg my best friend to come with me and after a few hours of persuading it finally worked :)

On 28th May we caught our plane from Birmingham International airport and we were so excited, the plane journey seemed to drag so much. Finally we got there and we were amazed how hot it was as soon as we got off the plane, at this moment I just knew it was going to be an amazing holiday. We stayed near Nissi Beach which I must admit is an amazing beach, the sea is so blue I fell in love with it straight away.

We managed to fit so many things into our holiday, lots of exploring, checking out the Ayia Napa square and also (really importantly) catching a nice tan. I was so impressed with Cyprus and I am already looking forward to going back again. I'd recommend it to anybody!

These are just a few photo's from what I took while there.

Happy Sunday!

My birthday and holiday week!

I don't know why but I always get a little bit too excited for my birthday, I've never really known why we celebrate being another year older but I just find it so exciting. I count down the days like a little child counting down the days until Christmas and before I know it it's all over.. so this year I thought I'd try and do as much as possible for it. A few days before I decided to have a night out with all of my closest friends and boyfriend, which was a really good night as these days I never really get to go clubbing. I also decided to go on holiday for the week just to make it a little bit more special. I love going to the sea-side, a walk by the beach clears my mind and makes me so happy and it means a lot to me living in the Midlands as it's so far to travel to a beach so it's hard for me to visit one.

My night out was really fun, it felt weird because people actually came out JUST for my birthday so I felt extremely loved and blessed to have lovely friends that made in effort just for my night. I went on holiday with my parents and boyfriend.. And dog ( exciting I know ) but it was pretty good to relax and not have to go to work for a week. As of every holiday I go on, I always take way too many photo's but I love keeping them just to remember the memories we made so I thought I'd share them on here.

Another birthday has gone and I am glad that I made the most of it. Now to wait another year until my next birthday!
