Family Fun

So this week I spent the week in Wales (porthcrawl) with my family. Sometimes, I really enjoy getting away from day to day life and spending some time with the people that mean the most in life. Being by the beach is my favourite place to be in the world and I am extremely jealous of anybody that actually lives by a beach. Do I really have to go back to reality?!

I also took the chance to visit the Primark in Swansea and the ELF store in Cardiff so I shall be blogging about purchases I brought from there in the next few days.

Hope you all had a good week, what did you get up too?

My trip to Paradise

At the start of this year I realised that I really needed to get away for a while. I always love the thought of getting out of my home-town for a while so I decided to start searching for a holiday. Cyprus has always appealed to me and seemed like such a nice place to go so I searched the internet for a good deal and luckily I found one, my next step was to beg my best friend to come with me and after a few hours of persuading it finally worked :)

On 28th May we caught our plane from Birmingham International airport and we were so excited, the plane journey seemed to drag so much. Finally we got there and we were amazed how hot it was as soon as we got off the plane, at this moment I just knew it was going to be an amazing holiday. We stayed near Nissi Beach which I must admit is an amazing beach, the sea is so blue I fell in love with it straight away.

We managed to fit so many things into our holiday, lots of exploring, checking out the Ayia Napa square and also (really importantly) catching a nice tan. I was so impressed with Cyprus and I am already looking forward to going back again. I'd recommend it to anybody!

These are just a few photo's from what I took while there.

Happy Sunday!

My birthday and holiday week!

I don't know why but I always get a little bit too excited for my birthday, I've never really known why we celebrate being another year older but I just find it so exciting. I count down the days like a little child counting down the days until Christmas and before I know it it's all over.. so this year I thought I'd try and do as much as possible for it. A few days before I decided to have a night out with all of my closest friends and boyfriend, which was a really good night as these days I never really get to go clubbing. I also decided to go on holiday for the week just to make it a little bit more special. I love going to the sea-side, a walk by the beach clears my mind and makes me so happy and it means a lot to me living in the Midlands as it's so far to travel to a beach so it's hard for me to visit one.

My night out was really fun, it felt weird because people actually came out JUST for my birthday so I felt extremely loved and blessed to have lovely friends that made in effort just for my night. I went on holiday with my parents and boyfriend.. And dog ( exciting I know ) but it was pretty good to relax and not have to go to work for a week. As of every holiday I go on, I always take way too many photo's but I love keeping them just to remember the memories we made so I thought I'd share them on here.

Another birthday has gone and I am glad that I made the most of it. Now to wait another year until my next birthday!

My trip to Paris

So last year I had this crazy idea where I thought.. you know what? I want to get away for new years eve 2013. I want to go to Paris! So me and my boyfriend decided on a nice hotel and booked the holiday around March time.. so there was a quite a long time to wait. I was SO excited after such a big build up and months and months of researching what a beautiful city it is. But the time went so quick and before we knew it we were at the airport waiting to board the plane. <3

Paris is such a glorious city with so many places to see and things to do! Every restaurant is outstanding and the French are so pleasant and friendly. It is such a good place to go with your loved one to just get away for a while and forget about everything else! But it was pretty different to what I expected in the terms of it being 'posh' and 'romantic.' The Eiffel tower was a little disappointing but it was still a beautiful sight! We stayed in the outskirts of Paris so we needed to use the metro to get in and out of the main part.. which was certainly an experience and quite confusing to get used to at the beginning of our holiday.(thank god for google maps!)

I would also not recommend going to Paris for new years eve. It was a very unreal experience.. there were a lot of 'drunk' people around and the place was full of police I some how felt that I was in a place like Magaluf with what the atmosphere felt like. People were pushing, shoving, and I felt very claustrophobic and it takes a lot to make me feel like that! There were also NO fireworks.. nothing, it was pretty disappointing and I expected so much more from it being the 'capital' of France. But still.. we made the most of it, and I can always say that I've been in Paris for one New Years Eve.. I guess! Don't get put off by this though.. I'd just recommend going in the summer. Although it was very christmassy and the Christmas market was so beautiful and my favourite part of Paris!

I've probably made Paris sound like an extremely awful place.. don't get me wrong it is actually a beautiful city and a place that everybody should experience! The outskirts of Paris aren't even that expensive (from what we found)! There are a lot of historic places to check out and can be extremely fun if you are into that type of thing.. but beware of queues (up to 5 hours long!) but what can you expect for such famous landmarks and buildings? I'd also advise people to go in the summer and going to the love lock-bridge is a must!! be prepared for a lot of walking also as all the famous buildings are quite a distance from each other!!

If you have been to Paris please let me know your opinions on it..I would love to see your pictures and read some of your views :-)
